Our inner self is waiting for us

unitedstarminds.com
How many times have we admitted to ourselves that there is something in our persona that needs to be changed? Have we ever payed attention to it? Is there a need for it? I like to think of it as some kind of a warning sign that we should begin to be aware of. It is our own Navigation system that was placed in us since the beginning of our existence, that is telling us to change. I believe that we are not placed here to be lost.

In every response that we are going to make there is always an end result. Even if we elect not to respond at all there is still a consequence that is certain to happen. Just like how we handle our body. If we eat fattening food we will be unhealthy, the same is true when we do the opposite, when we eat healthy food we will feel good and look good as healthy as we can ever be. If you do not eat at all you will get weaker and possibly that could lead to your death. There is no one to blame but us. There are times that the food looks good but we know that later on it will only create aches and pain if we eat it. It's not the TV commercials, parties, friends, etc. that put that food in our plates and forced us to put it in our mouth to chew it and swallow it. No one did it but us. That's why our body is the best indicator about our eating habits. We are just simply ignoring the warning signs. That warning device is what I think is our conscience.

Conscience is our guiding system, if we follow it we will never get lost, if we ignore it, it will just continuously direct us until we get on to the right path. It does not mean that if you always give in to the food you crave all the time you will be happy. It's the feeling that counts, not what you're only seeing that can give you elation. Would you be eating the same food while you are lying on a hospital bed and your vitals are being monitored inside a hospital? Following our navigation system (conscience) will eventually lead us to inner growth. In the long run as we apply it on our everyday routine we will notice that  our experience is a lot more joyful, peaceful, safe and simple. The same thing with our interactions with other people. Our inner guide can tell who we should be having interaction with. There are people who can bring us up and there are people who can really bring us down. Do we rather discourage others or encourage one another?

Maybe this difficult times of global economic crisis that most of us are experiencing is teaching us to be more right with ourselves and hopefully to others as well. I also have noticed that there have been so many deaths of love ones, friends and acquaintances that transpired these past few years and very deep emotional problems and struggles that had happened and still happening. It's like a big transition or shift that is somewhat calling our attention. If things happen for a reason, there must be a purpose with these occurrences. May we be consciously aware about these things that hopefully will cause our frequency in transforming our selves be at the highest sensitivity.

In my opinion it is really important to connect back to our inner self and retreat to the basic fundamentals of life which is love, humility, appreciation, understanding, kindness, forgiveness, peace, hope, trust and faith. To me it feels like something of a great power and consciousness is calling us and that voice could be coming from inside of us. We just have to learn how to pay attention to it. It always intrigues us in seeking for the truth from someone, something or somewhere because we are so blind in seeing the truth that is inside of us. I hope that I make myself be willing to listen to it and make myself available to hear what it is conveying. :)
